I'm designing a coffee mug, and I discover that I can't show a preview because there is no curve bend transform tool in Pixelmator.

This is the tool I need: https://youtu.be/THLTFDt8uuw

Hey Michel, thanks for the feature request — it's already on the request list, though it isn't in our plans for the near future. We'd like to add something like it a little further down the line, though.

I see something like cylindrical distortion as a pretty basic need, an essential tool. It's needed all the time, as a cylinder is a common form, unless it's patents issues or something. I don't understand why this is not present. Hopefully in 2.0 ????

The reason why it isn't preset is we haven't added it yet because we worked on other things until now, things that we deemed more important. I do realize that, when a certain feature is such a basic need for you, this is difficult to understand but Pixelmator Pro does many different things and stuffing it full of half-baked features to cover every part of every different workflow would give you an app that looks like GIMP in the video up there. Sure, the app works and does stuff but it's a mess. Our approach is different — we deliberate over features to add, take our time to develop them thoughtfully, and make sure to keep improving the experience of existing features in the process.

To put your mind at ease, it's pretty much a guarantee that bezier-based warping will come to Pixelmator Pro, not in 2.0, but in the future – we know it is a very important feature.

No, sorry not a criticism, but a wish...and one can fully appreciate that everyone wants something different, and right now!
Thanks for the product!

Apologies, the way you worded it made me go all defensive.
