Hi, Im new to Pixelmator pro and Im having a terrible time taking pictures from my iPhone and printing pictures in various sizes. When I open a photo and press image button and I enter a new size for the photo ie 5x7 inches NOTHING happens. the picture doesn't change size. Also, there are no preset sizes like I saw in a tutorial.
Thanks in advance,
Scott R

I´d try:
cmd+N for new Document->Photo=5x7inch
drag your photo onto open document
Enable the Arrange tool or hit V - in the Size section type in 7in for the largest dimension regarding portrait or landscape mode. Pixelmator will automatically translate from px to inch and size you image proportionally with the default settings - you may need to center the image which will snap to the boundaries of the page size.

Hi Ellen, Thanks for your reply but im still having issues. I created a new doc and inserted the 5x7 inch phone. I then dragged my photo in place. It was way oversized for the given picture size so I went to the arrange tool and there is no size option there. If I go to Image and then size the photo nothing happens??
Thanks again.

Ellen, I have been experimenting more and when I go to Image and size the image to 5x7 it actually grows larger. It doesn't make sense that the initial size I put in was 5x7, the photo was resized to 5x7 and it is way larger. Help!

excellent example and I followed it to a tee. again, here's the problem and I will illustrate via photo attached. Everything works as you described but when I go to print the pic it comes out huge and pixilated not the 4x6 that I choose.

Should I be worried?

Mmmh - I guess it´s a printer driver setting - right now it looks like "scale to fit paper size" or something but not 100%.
I think you´ll find the setting under "Show Details" at "Paper size" or "Layout" - something like this.
Maybe make a new document with your paper size and copy&paste the 6x4" photo over there.
