Hey all at Pixelmator! Just getting up to speed with the software and trying to fully transition over from using Adobe workflows for so long! Here's my question and an example :
I'm currently doing many label designs, in which the name of a product and the background colors and text colors on the label change from release to release. I have a template that I edit the colors and elements on for each product. However, when I change what I need to for a new release, and close out the template, it automatically saves the changes to the template.
Is there any way I can preserve my template with all the elements and only save the new versions as a new file without overwriting the original?
Image/changes automatically saving?

Essentially I'd like the workflow to be :
- Open template
- Change colors and whatever text/elements I need to for that version
- Export or save as a new file
- Close, and keep the original template intact

Ah, I think I've found it? In the "Save As" dialogue box - "Keep Changes in Original Document" checkbox? Maybe someone can confirm for me if that's the ticket!
