strange question: how to increase file size from around 500 KB to 2MB or more?

I have entries for the HappyCow graphic design contest, which ends today. They ask for submissions larger than 2MB and I have created images of around 75% too small (in terms of file size, not pixels) for them. What to do? Again, this has to do with file size, not the pixel size of the images or the canvas.

I guess ">" is a typo and they want either a 1500x1500px jpg or 2MB max in file size - otherwise try to export to JPEG with Quality set to 100% - this will go up definitely.
BTW: didn´t the contest end yesterday already?

yes, it ended yesterday, meaning the 22nd. but I posted here then, not today.
the website states twice in two different ways that they only accept submissions larger than those sizes. also, I had no trouble ULing my files, so I think that they really did mean it.
I figured out that I could upscale the images using Preview.

What's the different method by using Preview rather than Pixelmator Pro?

I used "adjust size" in Preview. Pixelmator Pro takes longer to open and takes slightly longer for me to navigate, even with my experience with it.

Adjust Size at File->Export…? This is using the same algorithms like PM Pro methinks.
