Hi, first-time post here :)

I have a client who needs logos turned into light greyscaled versions of the originals and I have scoured everywhere on how to achieve this look. Attached is the look they want for a logo slider. I have tried and tried to create greyscale versions but can't get that very light grey look.

Any help is greatly appreciated! A quick how-to would be much appreciated.

Hi webjive, welcome to the forums! You'll probably want to adjust the dark values (or the Black Point) of your image here. There are a few color adjustments you can use for this — the Lightness adjustment, Levels, or Curves. Hope that helps!

Thanks Aurelija, that's what I've started doing. Got closer this last round but what I'm finding out is if you have low quality images, only so much you can do.

Could you let me know (or share screenshots, if possible) what happens, in particular? Perhaps we can find a workaround of some sort.

Jaguar and PI Architects are a couple of examples.

Still not sure what's wrong here. :grimacing: It is the slightly more yellowish tone or the resolution of these logos that you're not liking?

Correct. When I can find high-quality versions of those logos, I can get the effect I'm looking for but not with the lower res. I'll let the customer decide if they want to use those or not. They embedded the art in a PPT and emailed it to me LOL

Oh, I see. In that case, there's not much we can do on our end, unfortunately. Just an idea, though, if you don't need the logos to be super precise (since you're viewing them in a relatively small format), you could try upscaling them slightly using ML Super Resolution algorithm. It should help get rid of some of the pixelation.

Hmm.. Where do I locate that feature?

You can click Image > ML Super Resolution to scale an image 3 times or choose Image > Image Size to enter specific dimensions.

Apart from the recommendation Aurelija has given I would firstly get the best possible resolution (SVG) from either the original web pages or from press material or request it from a responsible employee.
I found an easy quite way to achieve the look you´re after via "Color Monochrome" available in the "Color adjustments" panel (probably needs enabling first):

by webjive Thanks!
You're welcome! Have you had the chance to try it out yet? Any luck upscaling the logos? :)

The ML helped a bit on some but the quality is so low that it's very minimal.

As I said: get you a better source image:

Done with "Replace Color" - still contains the "Outer Glow" easy to cut off with quick selection and a small brush.
