I did a simple test - use a transparent background, make a blue solid rectangle, apply gaussian blur effect and then export to SVG. But the SVG contained only the blue rectangle, without any blur effect.

Is this a limitation or am I doing something wrong? The SVG export documentation does not indicate that blur effect will not be exported.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hey Maneesh. Sorry for the late reply — your post slipped through somehow. The nondestructive effects like the Gaussian Blur are Pixelmator Pro-specific, while SVG is a universal file format that any app that supports it should be able to open. Because of this, the SVG doesn't carry any app-specific customization that may not be displayed correctly in other apps. Good point about including this info somewhere in the Pixelmator Pro documentation. We'll see what we can do here.
