At the moment when moving the edge of a photo for cropping, the selected line 'jumps' to a position. Is there a setting to change that will allow a smooth movement to a position of my own choosing?

You can press and hold the Command key when moving or resizing any object to disable snapping — hope that helps!

Hi Andrius. Thank you very much for your reply and solution. Not that I doubted you of course but I have just tried it and it works. All I have to do now is remember to do it when needed!!
