Can I reverse the direction of the mouse wheel for zooming in and out (Magic mouse)?

There is no such option at the moment. What you can do is just change the Mouse scroll direction in System Preferences. However, this will take an effect both in scrolling, zooming. So in other words - there is no App specific option for changing a scroll direction.

I sure hope this is going to be fixed soon. I'm using Pixelmator Pro 1.2.1 Quicksilver and the scroll zoom is still not following the system zoom. Changing the system preferences is not a good option, since I would need to reset it before and after each time using Pixelmator Pro. Just make the app follow what the system preference is set to, no need to change the direction within the app.

I've been using Pixelmator since June 2012. I just gave Pixelmator Pro a first official try and I am very surprised that a basic feature I got used to like mouse zoom direction is now backwards and can't be changed. Looking forward to a way to change this setting.

Hey Nikolay, thanks for the reminder — we'll do our best to sort something out for one of the next few updates!

Any updates on this? Pixelmator Pro is near unusable at the moment (okay, perhaps a bit hyperbolic – but all my other apps has "normal" scrolling and zooming behavior that adheres to the system settings.)

We'll do our best to at least add a flag in one of the next few updates so you can adjust this using the Terminal.

It's now a year later. Still no fix? Anything in the works? Please??

The Terminal flag was eventually added, here it is:

defaults write com.pixelmatorteam.pixelmator.x scrollToZoomDirectionInverted -bool true

You'll need to open the Terminal app, copy and paste that command, then press the Return key.

Thank you – finally! Now I too can use Pixelmator Pro instead of having to open up Pixelmator "classic" when I get tired of fiddling around with the zooming.
