App of the Year

It turns out Pixelmator for iPad is the app of the year for 2014!
(WOOHOO!)

There are no words to describe how happy we are. Believe me, no one could be any more excited than we are.

We worked really hard on Pixelmator for almost two years: staying late at night and working weekends researching, adding, perfecting, polishing, then repeating the same process again and again to build or improve the features and core foundation of the app to impossibility – all that for you to later notice or simply feel the awesomeness of Pixelmator for iPad.

We honestly want you to enjoy Pixelmator on your iPad to its utmost.

And, from the looks of your emails, App Store reviews, magazine and blog reviews, and now the App Store App of the Year 2014 award, we think our wish is turning into reality, which specifically inspires us to create even more exciting things – just wait till you see our major update of Pixelmator for iPad 1.1 or the new version of Pixelmator for Mac. Those are jaw-dropping…

We would like to say a big thank you to you – our Pixelmator users and fans. For everything – your fantastic help, awesome inspiration and hardcore support. Thanks to you, we are able to continue to do what we love: create the world’s best image editor for Mac and iPad.

And, of course, thank you, Apple, for always being there for us to not only notice, but also let everyone know, how awesome both Pixelmator for Mac and Pixelmator for iPad are.

Congrats! Now all that is needed is an iPhone release (for the sake of the six plus) and we’ll be in business!

    Well deserved.

There are some other great apps out there, but given the quality of Pixelmator, I’m not even surprised.

Oh please let 1.1 have some sort of masking capability. Even a “select alpha” for another layer, so I can paint a mask on. Anything! How did this get overlooked?!? Also—IMPACT FONT. Helloooooo? Memes?

I must mention how impressed I am with this app after using it on my friends iPad. I really hope there’s some way you can make an iPhone version available in the near future. I always have to go to my desktop version if I want to do more than a simple crop on my 6Plus photos. Keep up the great work Pixelmator team!
