The image I have is the correct size for the monitor background of my site, 1920 x 1200. However I need to make the size or footprint less then 400KB so that it won’t slow down load times on my site.
I might be using some wrong terminology here, but hopefully this makes sense
@Mike, to reduce the image file size, choose Share > Export for Web, select JPG file format and adjust the Quality slider until you have the file size you need.
I am currently working on a logo for a church and am having trouble figuring out how to do the exact opposite of this tutorial. The logo will be spread out and put on banners – how do I change the resolution or resize my image so that it will not distort when expanded?
@Bri, if the aspect ratio of the image isn’t right for the banner, you might want to use other tools, such as the Crop Tool to trim the image in a way that it doesn’t appear distorted. Here’s a link to the Crop Tool video:
