Hi
I am new to your program. May I ask how you would create a shadow of a photo you already have? By a shadow I want a gray rectangle under the picture. It is like Fireworks, filters, Shadow and Glow, Drop Shadow.
Thanks
Andres
Here's a manual tutorial for those of us who haven't installed . I'm using White instead of black because it shows up better on these forums.
1). Take the layer you want to shadow and duplicate it.
2). Select the Duplicate Layer and go to...
Image > Levels
And choose the settings that best suit you. Generally you want your duplicate layer to be black. But I'm using white because it shows on these forums.
3). Filter > Blur > Gaussian
4). And then use the Move tool to offset your shadow.
And from there you play with the levels and opacity to get the shade you want your shadow.
Alternatively, you could install the
Core Image Units by Noise Industries to add a filter to Pixelmator that lets you add a filter easily to your production, but I find doing it manually gives you more control over your end product.[/url]
