This is a great feature - the images that I have imported this way recently have come into Photos as png extensions.

Is this correct?

Yes, that does seem to be how the images are being saved (I think to preserve transparency and avoid any compression issues). Would you prefer saving JPEG instead?

To be honest, I'm not sure! Was just wondering if the png import was intentional.

Can you use a secondary Photos library for Pixelmator without designating it a System Photo Library in MacOS?

Use in what way, to share images to using Share > Add to Photos? Or for something else?
