Very bad performance

Hello! Whenever I use Pixelmator Pro the app runs very slowly. Much slower then other graphic softwares I use. I also found that the whole system gets slowed down by the new Pixelmator. Did anyone experienced the same thing?

I have the opposite experience. No other graphic software I use is faster than Pixelmator Pro. When I work with PP it is the only app I use. There are no other apps running at the same time.
My system:
iMac i5 3,4GHz late 2013, 16GB RAM, Geforce 780 4GB graphic card, 1TB FD, macOS 10.13.2.
What's your system config? Are there any background activities on your mac that can slow down the computer?

My system is:
Macbook Pro Retina mid 2014 with i7 2.8Ghz, 16GB RAM, GeForce GT750M 2GB, 1TB SSD and macOS 10.13.2.
There should be no problems with running this software on my computer. I only have Safari with 5-6 tabs opened while using Pixelmator so it's quite strange for me.

What does the activity monitor app say? How many resources does PP need? How many resources are needed for other activities?
On the Mac App Store a lot of people said that PP is running very slow on their machines. I think PP was released a few month too early. In its current state it is partially not a 1.x version but more a beta version. I guess they released the software because they are running out of money.

You're absolutely right — you should have no problems running Pixelmator Pro on your Mac, so if you haven't done so already, please email us about this at support@pixelmator.com. We'll take a look at what could be going on.
