The specs for my Mid 2010 iMac are:

Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac11,3
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
Memory: 16 GB
Processor Interconnect Speed: 4.8 GT/s
Graphic: ATI Radeon HD 5750 1 GB
OS: MacOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.1

This desktop machine comfortably runs Photoshop CC, Premier Pro, After Affects, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compress and Logic Pro X.

When I try to install Pixelmator Pro from the Apple App store, I get the error message:

"This computer does not meet the minimum install requirements for this app".

What is my computer lacking?

Thanks, Craig.

If your Mac is made before 2012 then most likely it doesn't have support for Metal, which is what Pixelmator Pro requires to function.

Got a 2010 Mac Pro (12-core 3.46Ghz, 64GB) with a RX 470 4GB graphics card that supports Metal.
Pixelmator 1.0.6 runs just fine, but I cannot update to 1.0.8 because 'This computer does not meet the minimum install requirements for the app'. Refund please.

As Sebastiaan mentioned in another thread, we actually have no access to the sales part of the App Store ourselves, so this is all handled by Apple and you'd need to get in touch with them to get a refund.

Having said that, were you somehow able to purchase and install Pixelmator Pro on the Mac Pro? If so, how did you do so?
