I have an image file that is roughly 4000 x 6000 px. I'd like to make a print that is roughly 1 x 2 inches.
If I alter the image size (Image > Image Size...), can I revert back to the previous size without any upscaling or degradation? Or should I create a copy with each dimension I want?
Perhaps there is there a way to resize in the print dialog? I see a percentage scale but that isn't very accurate.
I'd like to keep the image at full resolution then be able to print to different sizes when needed. Best practices for doing so?

Hey there. If you’d like to change the print dimensions of an image without changing its quality (i.e. its pixel dimensions), deselect the "Resample" checkbox in the Image Size menu. This way, you'll be able to change the print dimensions of an image without affecting its pixel size.
