I am trying to add text to the top of a wide shot of a landscape. The text falls over the sky, so I'd like to layer on top some sort of gradient that gradually darkens the image from the center to the top.

How would I create a gradient, but instead of the gradient going from white to black, have it go from transparent to black?

Thanks!

Hi Matt.
There are quite a few ways of doing this. My preferred is to add a rectangle over the image, stretch it out so that it covers the entire image. You can then use the style tool to set the fill of the rectangle to be a gradient from black at 0% opacity to black at 100% opacity.
Does that help any?
