my much loved photoshop has crashed on my pc so I am thinking of using my iPad and pixel, actor
I use it for editing and adding text etc but my main need is to resize any picture to any size I want with 300 dpi so
When I print I will know that the size will be right.
I print out lots of projects for my art class.
Can I do this?

Hey Pauline, Pixelmator doesn't currently let you adjust the PPI/DPI of an image, so it may not be quite what you're looking for, though you can take PPI into account when setting the size of an image by making sure the image is large enough to be printed at a certain physical. 300 PPI means 300 pixels per inch, so if you create an image that is 300 pixels by 300 pixels and print at 300 PPI it will be 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide. If you know that you need, for example, a 6x4-inch image, you can just multiply 6 by 300 to get the required width in pixels and 4 by 300 to get the required height. In this example, the image would need to be 1800x1200 pixels.

Hope that helps at least a little!

"Pixelmator doesn't currently let you adjust the PPI/DPI of an image"

Is this going to be a feature in the future?
